Zeta Beta Tau Grant

The donors were students in the late 1960s at UW-Madison and members of the Alpha Beta Kappa Chapter of ZBT. ZBT is the world's first and largest Jewish Fraternity, was founded over a century ago, and has over 75 active chapters today. The Alpha Kappa Chapter of ZBT has a treasury of esteemed alumni who have been at the forefront of our nation’s business, artistic leadership, politics, medicine and other professions. Throughout the 1960’s, the focus of much of campus life was on social justice, a divisive war, and a changing world. A fully conscious and engaged student population along with the great transformations underway in art, space exploration, and new technologies promised an evolving future.

The purpose of the grant is to present guest speakers who will draw connections between important issues in the past and the world today; consider current issues and explore future implications; and unpack and engage audiences in relevant societal topics addressing social justice, the arts, science, technology; America's role in shaping the world, as well as other compelling issues of the day
